We came to learn about the challenges families face when caring for an elderly loved one after Matt’s wonderful great-aunt was clinically diagnosed with long-term dementia. The challenges of dealing with hospitalizations, doctor’s appointments, managing medications, and coordinating medical needs and care left our family confused, frustrated, and extremely overwhelmed. Seeing our family struggle during that difficult period helped us realize that caring for an aging family member is a full-time job and cannot be done alone. This is where our call for making a difference in the transitions of elder people came in, and this inspired us to open our own Lifestar Home Care.
