Meet the People Behind Lifestar

We started Lifestar Home Care because we lived through the same uncertainty many families experience when an aging loved one begins to need more support. For example, when Matt’s great-aunt was diagnosed with long-term dementia, our family faced hospitalizations, doctor appointments, medications, and constantly changing care needs firsthand. We felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and unsure of where to turn. We kept thinking there had to be a better way to help families navigate these challenges. That experience ultimately changed the direction of our lives.

Matt and Mariela Rogers, graduates of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, left their careers to establish Lifestar Home Care with a simple mission: to provide families with dependable support while treating their loved ones with the same respect and compassion they would want for their own family. Today, we personally oversee every client relationship. Lifestar isn’t a franchise. We’re locally owned and connected to the Oklahoma City community, and we understand that inviting a caregiver into your home requires a high level of trust. Our experience has taught us that high-quality elderly home care is about much more than completing a list of tasks. Good care means taking the time to understand a person’s routines, preferences, abilities, and concerns.
